Wykeham Village Market, from field to fork, pasture to plate, it’s real food at real prices

Wykeham Village Market, established in 2000, is the only weekly market in the area. From small beginnings the market has grown and flourished thanks to the loyal producers and traders who turn up through out the year, sometimes in atrocious weather, to provide the very best of locally reared, sourced and produced goods.

Now in its fifteenth year, the regular Friday morning market held 8.00am 1.00pm in the Downe Arms car park, has become a reputable and well established event; providing a weekly opportunity for locals and visitors to purchase locally produced food direct from its producer.

A whole morning can happily be spent wandering around the Village Market and the Picture Place art gallery 100 yards down the road, rounded off with a bite to eat at the Downe Arms or Wykeham tearooms, which both offer delicious food at great prices & plenty of free parking!

Seasonal wet and smoked fish presented on beds of ice. A huge selection of the freshest local fish and shellfish.

 

Thorleys Master Bakers

Bread, savories, confectionery and other baked goods.

 

Roanne Nurseries Plants & Accessories

Plants, herbs, cut flowers, planted containers, hanging baskets, bulbs, bulb bowls, wreaths, fircones, wild bird food.

 

David Johnson Fruit & Vegetables

Eating & cooking apples, potatoes, seasonal vegetables, soft fruit, eggs, bedding plants, honey.

 

Thornybeck Farm

Pork, lamb and mutton products with gluten free sausages a specialty.

 

D & E Newham

Naturally reared, home produced lamb and poultry. Free range geese at Christmas along with pheasant and partridge when in season.

 

Binnington Blooms

Cheerful mixed bunches, hand tied bouquets, jugs full of flowers. A regular vase of flowers for a home or business can be delivered in the immediate area.
