Self-Catering Accommodation – North Yorkshire Moors
Forrester’s Lodge is located at Danby in the heart of the North York Moors. It has been transformed by the Dawnay family, owners of the Danby Estate, and is still used by them as a weekend retreat. The house has been comfortably furnished and is located at the end of a private driveway surrounded by farmland in the centre of Little Fryup Dale. It has breathtaking views of the surrounding dales and moors.
The accommodation comprises an entrance hall with cloakroom, large drawing room with comfortable seating around an open fireplace and a dining area that seats 10. A spacious farmhouse kitchen/breakfast room, fully equipped with dishwasher and microwave plus a separate TV room. On the first floor there is one double and one twin bedroom, both en-suite, a second double bedroom and separate family bath/shower room. On the second floor there are two twin bedrooms, a bathroom, an additional WC and a quiet reading area.
The Lodge offers wireless broadband and satellite TV.
At the front of the house is a walled garden with a lawn and shrub borders. At the rear is a gravelled courtyard with a former wash-house converted as a drying/wash room for wet coats and boots. The room also has a washing machine. There is plenty of garden furniture and a barbecue available.
